Tagged Click Tracker script description:

Publisher review:
Tagged Click Tracker will allow you to count the number of clicks you're getting on an individual link. A click-tracker will allow you to count the number of clicks you're getting on an individual link. Optionally, you can also track the time of day when those clicks are occurring and cause the link to expire after a certain number of clicks or at a certain date and time.

If you choose to do so, you can specify additional data such as the number of sales achieved, the amount spent to get those sales and the amount earned. These figures are used to automatically calculate the conversion ratio and ROI. This is a purely optional feature that doesn't have to be used if not required.

This click-tracker will count both raw and unique clicks. A unique is somebody who hasn't clicked on your click-tracker in the last 24 hours.

If, for example, they click on your click-tracker twice within a 24 hour period then it will count (and show up in the statistics) as one unique click and two raw clicks. This way you can tell how much of your traffic is unique, and how much represents repeat visits from the same people within a 24 hour period.

Unlike the other Click Tracker this one records all URL tags to help you identify where your clicks are coming from. For example, if you want to advertise on various "Free Classified" websites then you could create a click-tracker called "name" and use the following URLs:

http://www.yourdomain.com/name.php?tag1

http://www.yourdomain.com/name.php?tag2

When you check the statistics you'll see each of the tags you've used (in this case tag1 and tag2) along with the total number of raw clicks and unique clicks received for each tag, sorted in descending order.

You'll be able to quickly identify which tags (and therefore which websites) have sent the most clicks, and which have sent the least.

Tag forwarding is permitted with this click-tracker. Simply place [TAG] in the destination URL and it will be replaced with the tag. For example, if you create a click-tracker called "abc", then the click-tracker URL can be tagged like this:http://www.yourdomain.com/abc.php?whatever

Here, "whatever" is the tag. If your destination URL contains [TAG] then it will be replaced with "whatever". For example, if you had the following destination URL: http://www.destination.com/?[TAG]

Then the actual destination URL the click-tracker is forwarded to would be: http://www.destination.com/?whatever

This click-tracker has the optional feature of keeping track of various additional data items, such as sales, amount spent and amount earned. For each tag you can specify how many sales have resulted from that tag, how much was spent on advertising and how much has been earned.

This data must be input manually. In addition, these figures are used to automatically calculate the conversion ratio and ROI (return on investment) for each tag.

The conversion ratio is based on the number of unique clicks, not raw clicks. For example, if you get 100 unique clicks for a particular tag and generate two sales, the conversion ratio is 2%. If you spent $10 to get those 100 clicks and earned $10 per sale, then the total earned would be $20, a return on investment of 100%.

Tags can be any alphanumeric combination of 50 characters or less and you can have up to 1000 tags. Don't use the word "default" as a tag because this is reserved. If you choose to use your click-tracker without a tag then any clicks you get will be assigned to the tag named "default".

The advantage of using this click-tracker is that you can track responses from various different traffic sources. On the downside, you don't get statistical data for the last 100 days, as you do with the other click-tracker. Instead you simply get a single figure for each tag, showing the total number of clicks for that tag.
